Peter Omwaka, also known as 'Guardian Angel,' has been making news this year due to his romance with fellow gospel performer Esther Musila. Having said that, Guardian Angel is one of Kenya's most accomplished gospel artists. His music speaks to the soul, as evidenced by the millions of views on his YouTube videos. This is his story.

Guardian was raised in Kitale by a single mother. His mother became pregnant while still in college. This did not sit well with her mother, who tracked her down and told her to stay with the man responsible for the pregnancy. Guardian Angel's mother was rejected yet again when her 'baby daddy' denied responsibility. Fortunately, Guardian's mother found a friend and stayed with her until Guardian was born.
