Jepkemboi was born and raised in Nandi County's Kapsabet. Meshack Korir is the name of her husband. He is an animator and works with her to take and edit the viral photos. They live in Racecourse, which is on the outskirts of Eldoret.
The couple has two sons, one of whom is two and a half years old and the other who is one year old. Jepkemboi says she is hesitant to include her children in her photography projects for fear of being trolled.
