The Chairperson of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority is Mrs. Makori. She has a Law Degree (LLB Hons) from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya School of Law, and a Masters in Leadership. She is a Certified Professional Trainer, a Certified Professional Mediator, and a Certified Public Secretary (C.P.S) K.

Anne has over 20 years of experience, with exposure at both the Board and management levels. She has worked for the Kenyan government, the media industry, the finance sector (banking), and a law firm specializing in civil litigation, conveyancing, and corporate law. Mrs. Makori has also worked in human resource consulting on a local and international scale.
