Ahmed Rashid is perhaps one of the most dreaded cops at their prime. He led a team of six police officers from Pangani police station that patrolled Eastleigh and Mathare areas. Although the team was informal they managed to flash out gangs roaming in the area by shooting them dead when found even in public.
Rashid particularly caught attention when he shot a young boy infront of a mall in Eastleigh even though the boy was unarmed and begging for his life. It caused countrywide uproar especially from Human rights activists groups accusing him of carrying out extra-judicial killings. He admitted to killing suspects when BBC came to cover him.
