Born Jason Joel Desrouleaux, he rose to prominence with his double-Platinum hit "Whatcha Say," which sampled Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek." He has written songs for singers such as Birdman.

Prior to Fame
He began creating songs for Diddyand Danity Kane when he was sixteen, after studying opera and ballet at the Dillard Center for the Arts.
