Frasha is a well-known name in Kenya's music industry. The outstanding secular singer was born and raised in Athi River, on the outskirts of Nairobi. Francis Amisi is his given name. Francis, in addition to singing, is an exceptional football player. He previously played for East Africa Portland Cement, Kenyatta Hospital Football Club, and Imara Daima Football Club.

Francis Amisi received his secondary education at Machakos Boys High School. Following that, he enrolled in Kenya Medical Training College, where he studied as a physiotherapist. He would thereafter work at the Aga Khan Hospital until 2011, when he chose to leave his well-paying profession to focus on his music career.
