Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, also known by her stage name Ayra Starr, was born on June 14, 2002, in Cotonou, Benin, and was raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She comes from Kwara State in Nigeria. In early 2021, Ayra Starr gained significant recognition for her self-titled debut extended play (EP) and its hit song "Away," which spent two consecutive weeks at number four on Nigeria's TurnTable Top 50 chart and reached number 17 on the US Billboard Top Triller Global chart. This paved the way for the release of her first full-length studio album, "19 & Dangerous," in August 2021.
