Amanda Faku, renowned by her stage name Ami Faku, is a South African vocalist, performer, and songwriter who gained widespread recognition through her participation in the second season of The Voice SA.
Born on May 28th, 1993, in eBhayi, eZinyoka, Port Elizabeth, Faku's journey into music commenced at the age of six. Her passion led her to sing at a house church where her father served as a pastor, and her musical inclinations were influenced by the church environment as well as the reggae and hip-hop genres. Beginning in 2012, she embarked on recording her music, aided by a producer who resided near her home.
