Mercy Tarus is a Kenyan youth from Uasin Ngishu County who went viral on social media in 2023 after her video confronting leaders went viral. Mercy Tarus discusses her ordeal and how she was hurt by mismanagement of education program funds in the video.

Mercy goes on to explain that she is an uji seller and that she and other students were promised the opportunity to study abroad. Their hard-earned money, however, was misappropriated. Mercy is seen confronting leaders and pleading with the government to intervene.
