Billy Miya is a Kenyan radio host who works for Radio Maisha. He began his career in Kenya's coastal region and has worked hard to establish himself in the industry. In 2009, he received the Nzumari award for best male presenter and coast region.

Carving out a niche in the industry is difficult enough, so doing so and being able to receive an award is a feat in and of itself. Billy Miya has certainly accomplished both. Many people know him as "the player," a character he had to invent when he first started out in radio.
